We're looking for an experienced Regional Human Resources Director who thrives at the intersection of business strategy and people leadership. This is not a traditional HR role. It's an opportunity to partner directly with Operational Leaders to build high-performing teams, strengthen leadership pipelines, and drive measurable business results.
This role is ideal for an HR leader who loves partnering with Operations, solving complex business challenges, and building high-performing teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, helping translate business strategy into talent outcomes that drive organizational success. We are looking for a candidate based on the East Coast, preferably in Atlanta or Orlando.

As a Regional Human Resources Director, you'll serve as a strategic partner supporting multiple schools within your assigned region. You'll work closely with Operations, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and Executive Leadership to develop and execute people strategies that support growth, retention, and operational excellence.
Your responsibilities will include:
Workforce Planning & Talent Strategy
- Develop regional workforce plans aligned with business goals and financial targets.
- Lead regular workforce planning discussions with Operations, Finance, and Talent Acquisition.
- Monitor staffing trends, hiring progress, and vacancy risks to ensure workforce readiness.
- Drive proactive solutions that support sustainable staffing.
Talent Acquisition & Hiring Excellence
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and operational leaders to improve the quality of hire.
- Coach leaders on structured interviewing and effective candidate selection.
- Ensure exceptional onboarding experiences through 30/60/90-day success planning.
- Improve early-tenure engagement and retention.
Leadership Development & Succession Planning
- Lead talent review and succession planning processes across the region.
- Build strong leadership pipelines and increase internal promotions.
- Support development planning for emerging leaders and high-potential employees.
- Partner with Learning & Development to deliver impactful leadership programs.
Performance & Employee Engagement
- Guide leaders through performance management, coaching, and accountability.
- Analyze engagement and retention data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead retention initiatives, stay conversations, and targeted interventions for key talent.
- Support operational leaders in strengthening culture and employee experience.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Manage complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
- Provide expert guidance on employment law, policy interpretation, and risk mitigation.
- Partner with leaders to resolve issues proactively while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Data-Driven Business Partnership
- Translate workforce metrics into actionable business insights.
- Participate in business and financial reviews to align talent strategies with organizational goals.
- Identify trends, recommend solutions, and drive continuous improvement across the region.

What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- SHRM-CP certification or equivalent preferred
- 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including complex employee relations
- Strong experience partnering with business leaders in multi-site environments
- Expertise in workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and leadership development
- Strong business acumen with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making
- Exceptional coaching, influencing, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to travel approximately 50%
